The 28th Annual Texas Star Party will be hosted on the magnificent Prude Ranch, a 3500 acre mile-high ranch located six miles northwest of Fort Davis on Highway 118... 12 miles on the same road from McDonald Observatory. Registration Form must be submitted by January 17, 2006.





Mason Dixon Star Party
July 6 ~ July 10, 2005.
The York County Astronomical Society will be presenting the 16th annual Mason Dixon Star Party at the Footlight Ranch near Shreveport Airport on Wednesday, July 6th through the Sunday, July 10th. This large gathering of amateur astronomers will feature three speaker sessions with a keynote speaker, vendors, swap tables, raffle prizes, photography contest, telescope contest and a 24-hour food caterer, May's Munchables of Hanover, PA.






The International Amateur-Professional Photoelectric Photometry The annual IAPPP Meeting will be held again this year at the Northwoods Resort just prior to the 2006 RTMC Astronomy Expo at Camp Oakes in Big Bear.





Riverside Astronomy Expo / Riverside Telescope Makers Conference
May 26, 2006 - May 28, 2006 (Memorial Day weekend).
The 38th Annual RTMC Astronomy Expo (Riverside Telescope Makers Conference) will be held at the Y.M.C.A. Camp Oakes (five miles east of Big Bear City on Highway 38 at Lake Williams Road - that's between mileposts 44 and 45). This location is about 50 miles northeast of Riverside in the San Bernardino mountains.





Grand Canyon Star Party
June 4, 2005 - June 11, 2005
Since 1991 amateurs have been gathering at the north and south rim of the Grand Canyon to show the wonders of the night sky to the public gathered there.





Colorado Springs Astronomical Society {CSAS}

The Colorado Springs Astronomical Society sponsors this amazing gathering of amateur astronomers.
This year's event will be held from June 22nd through June 25th high up in the Colorado Rockies at 8,817 feet! Incredible fields of stars by night are supplemented with workshops, children's activities, door prizes, catered meals and fun for everyone. Pre-registration for this 4-day event is only $10.00 per adult and $4.00 per child making RMSS one of the least expensive star parties in the nation!

Nebraska Star Party
July 23, 2006 - July 28, 2006
The 13th annual NSP will take place at Merritt Reservoir, 27 miles south of Valentine. This event has established itself as one of the premier summer star parties, offering pitch-black, transparent skies, guest speakers, telescope-making and astrophotography contests, door prizes, and a beginners field school, as well as hiking, swimming, canoeing, boating, water skiing, and fishing. Registration rates are $15 per person before June 1th, $25 afterward. Children 12 and under are admitted free of charge.

Southern Cross Astronomical Society - Winter Star Party

Well the 22nd Annual Winter Star Party is now getting ready to get underway. This event will provide another year of excellent seeing, great speakers, good food, the best people, and a plethora of telescopes.

The Winter Star Party is one of the premiere star parties in the country and is held in one of the southernmost dark sky sites in the contiguous United States, affording views of Eta carina, the Southern Cross, Omega Centauri, Centaurus "A", and some of the most beautiful views of the planets that you will ever see. The seeing here is incredible, allowing you to see detail on planets like Jupiter and Saturn that you have ever seen before.

There will be plenty of activities to keep one occupied. There were children's programs, various lectures by ten different speakers, mirror grinding classes, swimming, fishing, sightseeing, twelve hour observing sessions from 7pm to 7am.

Montana Starwatch
August 5 - 7 2005

One of the most well known star parties of the Northwest will take place at a new site this summer, offering higher elevations and better viewing conditions! The observing site will be located in Harley Park, on Forest Service land about 45 minutes south of Great Falls, Montana. It features a large observing field with trees on the perimeter for cover from daylight sun and wind.
